This helps you quickly understand the content of linked or related Confluence pages without needing to open them, making it easier to find relevant information and decide which pages to view. Hover over a smart link to a Confluence page that is set to inline or appears in related content. View the AI-generated snippet that summarizes the linked page’s content. Key changesAI-generated snippets now appear when you hover over smart links to Confluence pages set to inline. Related content sections now display AI-generated snippets on hover.   2. Jira Service Management now provides clearer, more accurate error messages when users or agents try to add an email address that doesn’t have access to a service project. These improved messages help admins and agents quickly identify if an issue is caused by project permissions or configuration settings rather than a generic system error. To get started with this change: Go to your service project and select an existing request. Select Share or go to the Request participants field. Enter an email address that doesn't have access to the service project or organization. View the updated error message explaining why the user can't be added. Key changesReplaced generic "something went wrong" error pages with specific messages that describe the access issue. Updated error message language to be admin-focused and written in the third person to avoid confusion about who needs to take action. Standardized error handling to ensure consistent behavior across both the agent view and the portal. BenefitsReduces support load for admins by providing specific reasons why an email address can't be added. Eliminates confusion for help seekers by explaining why they can't share a request with certain users. Helps agents and admins quickly distinguish between permission restrictions and product bugs.
  3. Jira Service Management has updated how request sharing settings are enforced when searching for users to mention or add as participants. This change ensures that privacy and sharing configurations are strictly followed across all parts of the app, including when using search and participant APIs. To get started with this change: Go to a request in Jira Service Management. Select the Share button or use the "@" symbol to mention a user in a comment. Notice that the list of available users now strictly aligns with your project's request sharing and security settings. Key changesRequest sharing settings are now consistently applied when searching for users to mention or add as participants. The fix ensures that mention search and share participant APIs respect existing organizational sharing restrictions. Users will only see and be able to select participants who are authorized based on your current configuration. BenefitsPrevent unauthorized users from being exposed or added to requests through search or mentions. Ensure your data privacy and sharing policies are enforced across all interaction points in the app. Maintain confidence that your request sharing configurations are working as intended throughout Jira Service Management.

Previews show a visual thumbnail of the screenshot content. Users can choose their preferred display style using Smart Link options.   13. Atlassian Rovo now includes pre-configured automation templates specifically designed for operations teams to automate tasks such as incident triage and PIR creation. These templates help you quickly set up automation rules to manage repetitive tasks and streamline your operations workflows across Atlassian apps. A new section on the Rovo Ops settings page lists the available templates. You can select a template to open it in Jira Service Management automation, from there you can edit the template and turn it on. To get started with this change: Go to the Rovo Ops section in your Space settings You’ll see a new Automate workflows with Rovo Ops section. From the Automate workflows with Rovo Ops section, choose a template. Select Turn on to activate the rule or customize it in the automation editor. OR Go to the Automation library in your app. Select the Templates tab. Select a template from the Rovo AI category.   14. Organization admins can now use an updated group selection experience when inviting users to Atlassian apps. This improvement makes it easier to find and select the correct groups, especially for organizations with many groups or multiple directories, ensuring users are assigned the right access from the start. To get started with this change Go to Atlassian Administration at admin.atlassian.com. Select Directory, then Users. Select Invite users. In the Add to groups field, search for and select the groups you want to add users to. Key changesUpdated the group picker in the invite drawer to a more scalable selection experience. Improved group discovery and search within the invite flow. Added better support for identifying groups in organizations with multiple directories.
