Dang, Jimi. This is a good question for me. I think I’m hopeful that there will be content in the book that focuses on the ways quality Atlassian product administration functionally improves the lives

I didn't find the proposed table of contents that I saw a while ago. But as I recall, it covered some areas not covered by other books, practical aspects of managing systems such as the Atlassian tool

"Great point that inspired me to rewrite part of the introduction! Muse material right there!"

Dang, Jimi. This is a good question for me.

I think I’m hopeful that there will be content in the book that focuses on the ways quality Atlassian product administration functionally improves the lives of workers. I want to see more people make the connection between their administration of Jira and the quality of life their users have.

This matters to me because we aren’t born to work, we’re born to live, and far too many people spend far too much time enriching others while their own lives suffer. Quality Atlassian administration can truly change that.

That is a very good point, Bryan!

I will do my best to make sure that this has a prominent position in my book.

Thanks!

I didn't find the proposed table of contents that I saw a while ago. But as I recall, it covered some areas not covered by other books, practical aspects of managing systems such as the Atlassian tools. I think I can bring my experience of writing three books for O'Reilly, careful attention to detail, and strong English and American skills. Plus twenty years of helping customers small and large use Atlassian tools.

Welcome aboard Matt!

"Great suggestions that make me want to re-write a few things right away!"

In addition to the content I think will already be in place, such as best practices and tips, I'm hoping to see real-life case studies and examples showing how admins handle day-to-day work (how they organize their own work), guidance on scaling the Atlassian suite, and potential career paths within companies and possibly within Atlassian.

Those are some great suggestions!
I do have some real life examples in the book, but I will add some more for sure. Career paths I have as that is important and I try to combine that with the many different role names to get some form of base progression path.
