Atlassian Team 25 Impressions - are we seeing the birth of a new Atlassian?

Atlassian Team '25 was held last week in Anaheim California and as always it was a massive marketing campaign designed to hype and increase sales.

00:00 - Like last year's event however there is more happening than just new features and new products. Atlassian is changing before our eyes and this year a lot of big changes occurred!

01:29 - Categorizing the Atlassian apps (products) is now happening, and we see a whole new ecosystem unfold. Atlassian is renaming their products to become apps, which is very confusing.

07:24 - A new packaging based on the new categorizing of the apps was presented, and they are called Collections. Two collections were announced: The Teamwork Collection with Jira, Confluence and Loom and 09:31 the Strategy collection with Align, Focus and the new app named Talent. It is an interesting choice as Align has been in a very awkward position before…

09:23 - Rovo is now the core of all products and Atlassian is making working with Rovo even easier with the new Rovo Studio. This is a shift from Jira towards Rovo and it is an interesting shift.

21:55 - New Cloud solutions are rolling out in the form of Government cloud and Isolated Cloud. Isolated cloud begs the question of where will this put the Atlassian Data Center platform, which was not mentioned at all.

26:52 - Customer Service Manager is a confusing product that is a bit unclear on what it is and how it fit with the rest of Jira Service Management. It looks like a Rovo Chat with some additional views, but it is unclear exactly what this is...
