Space admins can now create custom roles with granular admin permissions in Jira Product Discovery. You can delegate specific admin tasks such as managing workflows, space fields and work types, copying spaces as templates, managing watchers, or editing reporters while maintaining control over other critical settings. The new permission structure helps teams work more efficiently while keeping sensitive settings protected.
To create a custom role:
Go to your space in Jira Product Discovery.
Next to your space’s name in the left sidebar, select More options (…) > Space Settings > Access.
Select Manage roles > Create new role.
Fill in the required fields, and then select the needed permissions.
Select Create role.
