We’re excited to announce the rollout of the new roll-up and sticky (fixed) column features for the timeline in business spaces. This update is all about making space tracking smoother, more intuitive, and less manual—so you can focus on what matters most.
To explore this change:
Go to your business space's timeline.
Create or open a parent work item with child work items.
Assign start and due dates to child work items to see roll-up values on the parent.
Use the new assignee and status columns to view and edit these fields directly on the timeline.
Key changes
Parent work items now automatically roll up dates and statuses from their child work items, giving you a clear, high-level view of space progress and milestones. We show hidden done items in roll-up values because roll-up should display a single source of truth.
Partial roll up is supported: If child work items are missing dates, the parent will reflect this visually.
Sticky (fixed) columns: Assignee and status fields are now always visible as columns, making it easier to scan and update important information at a glance. We are looking to support more important fields in the future.
Inline editing is now available for summary, date, status, and assignee fields directly on the timeline.
