You Can Draw This! Anyone can draw this butterfly following this Procreate drawing tutorial for beginners. I will walk you through the steps of drawing a butterfly in Procreate. You can draw this butterfly using the free Procreate brushes that are already in the app! I'll guide you through all the steps in this how to draw a butterfly tutorial and remember, if things are going too fast, just pause the video and take your time.
n this digital art tutorial you will be learning by doing! I will show you different techniques you can use in Procreate, like the symmetry tool, alpha lock, layer masks and more! Be sure to share your results! Maybe next time you will see your artwork in a 'You Can Draw This' video tutorial!
Be sure to check out my other Procreate easy drawing tutorials as well. In those real time drawing tutorials you will draw things like a foil balloon, an iris, a snowy landscape, a tropical scene, an owl and more using the free brushes that come with Procreate:
You want to see more beginner tutorials for Procreate? Let me know in the comments and leave a thumbs up so I will know that you like it. I'd be happy to make more step by step drawing tutorials!

I referenced several photos and screenshots for Alita, but mainly used this one here for the pose and facial expression: http://xiding.at/downloads/Ref.jpg
I use the reference photo to observe and understand the geometry but for the most part, I do the shading based on my understanding, not strictly sticking to the reference.
A large proportion of the video is sped up 2x in the editing, in order to save your viewing time. If it's too fast for you, simply play it back at 0.5x speed.
I used an iPad Pro (2018) and Apple Pencil to create this painting. The app is Procreate.

Using Free Brushes in Procreate to draw an iris In this video I will be drawing an iris in Procreate using free brushes only, for example; I'll be using a soft airbrush and Acrylic brushes in Procreate. If you have Procreate you can follow along this digital art tutorial. We will be painting an iris step by step.
I'll be using some of the best free Procreate brushes, the painting brushes that are the default brushes in Procreate. Even though I always prefer my custom Procreate brushes, you CAN make a painting with the standard Procreate brushes. If you tweak the standard brushes a bit, you can make the default Procreate brushes even better.
Have fun drawing an iris in Procreate!
