  1. In the past 5 years I have been living my dream. I have been through a journey that far surpass all my dreams and I find myself in a position where I can look back with a happy smile and a heart filled with satisfaction. This is when I take the next step and try new things. I started almost 5 years ago as a Neurowebdesigner and since then I have held positions as designer, tester, project manager and many more. I have worked with large and small companies and I have had the privilege to work with some of the best minds in the world. It's safe to say that I have been truly blessed being
  2. Things have been a bit slow lately and that is because I have tried to find the ways to build things the way I want. With Invision Community things are not always easy to find the right information, but fortunately the community have some great helpers. The things that have caused some extra thought is how I want the headers on the pages to look and behave. Since the structure is different for pages, databases and applications this was very important to figure out. I now feel I have the solution at hand, so I can start building the headers. The second thing that has been a bit puzzli
  3. I have been struggling a bit about the header blocks since there are some template differences between pages, databases and applications. Now I think i have a solution for it however as I have tested to use raw PHP in the blocks. This allow me to display content based on the URL, which seem to be working fine. Adding a bit of PHP for the blocks was not really very difficult. There are plenty of examples online and I started with a simple url match using the $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] function. $host = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; if($host == '/projects/') { echo ('Whatever you want in h
  4. I took some time this weekend to go over how to create tabs and blocks in IPS and it turned out pretty good. This means another part of the structure on the website is now ready to be used. I am making progress. With the tabs I can now create content with more freedom. I already have a few areas in mind for this where I want to create new content. I can add individual pages or even sections, which makes this amazing in so many ways. I can add for example forums or clubs to any page using the tabs. It is not perfect in any way, but it should serve as a good way to drive people around the s
  5. Building this new site feels amazing, yet very confined at times. Simple things that I have been used to are simply not part of the infrastructure. Other things are just different and things I wished I had a long time ago. Overall this is just the beginning of building a new beginning for my website. As with my old site I am still a bit all over the place when it comes to what I want the site to be about. I have already started to add my project portfolio and of course this blog, but beyond that I still play around with different things. Downloads are always nice and I have some thoughts
