Where the movies failed, the TV series succeeded. To me this is the true succession to the original movie and Adrian Paul is an excellent actor to base a show about an immortal warrior. Over the cause of the six seasons the lore of the Highlander universe was expanded a lot and most of it was not that bad to be honest.

The serious and mature Adrain Paul is balanced with the somewhat irrational and spur-of-the-moment character wonderfully portrayed by the late Stan Kirsch. Many strong characters like Methos played by Peter Wingfield and Joe Dawson played by Jim Byrnes added to a very strong cast that touched on many topics and eras over the seasons.

I still have the DVD set in my closet, which is how much I loved this show back in the days.
