We are in search of an QA Engineer / Test Automation Engineer with focus on backend automation

Project description:

• Optimization of end-to-end flows for data related to hydro and trading in order to better enable:

• Data-based decision making

• Automation of processes

• Analytics / forecasting

• Ways of working

• Operational environment

Solution will be developed in different parallel streams/teams using slightly different tech stack but the primary languages are Java, Javascript and Python. Solution is microservices based in a cloud infrastructure.

Required Profile:

• Extensive hands-on experience in automation of backend tests (API-tests SOAP/REST)

• Extensive hands-on experience in using open-source test automation tools

• Experience in Java and/or Python

• Experience of Cloud Computing, preferably AWS

• Experience of implementing of automated functional tests in DevOps environment

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a high pace with several teams

• Proactive, organized, confident with drive and solution-oriented mindset

• Capable to adapt and work with "moving targets", i.e. adaptable to change

• Fluent in English (Fortum's Corporate language)

Good to have

• Experience in Javascript and GUI-tests

• Experience in BDD or TDD is a clear advantage

• Experience in Automated Performance Tests is an advantage

• Experience and/or knowledge of Machine Learning

• Experience of data-centric applications (data ingestion, ETL)

• Good understanding and mindset for manual testing
