Our cool client with offices in central Stockholm is looking for a Data Scientist/Product Analyst. You will belong to a team responsible for the client’s customers experience in the iOS and Android applications.

Your role is to turn terabytes of data into insights and get a deep understanding of the world of music and listeners. Together with us you will study user behaviour, evaluate strategic initiatives and experiment with new features. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams of data scientists, user researchers, product managers, designers and engineers who are passionate about our client´s mobile consumer experience
  • Perform analyses on large sets of data to extract actionable insights on user behaviour that will help drive product and design decisions
  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to partners
  • Work from one of the offices in Stockholm

Must haves:
  • You are a self-driven person who can tackle loosely defined problems and come up with relevant approaches to generate actionable insights
  • You have demonstrated and relevant experience in a similar data scientist role
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
  • You have a deep understanding of numbers and a strong business sense for user experiences
  • You have strong technical competence allowing you to perform more advanced analytics on large datasets
  • You are fluent in SQL, our client utilizes BigQuery Python (eg Pandas, Numpy, sklearn)
  • You possess statistical competence (such as regression modelling, significance testing etc)
  • Experience designing, running and analysing A/B-tests

A plus if you have:
  • Experience from projects at media/tech companies
  • Experience from collaborating with user researchers
  • Data engineering experience, eg data pipelines, Scala etc
  • You're capable of mentoring more junior data scientists to set them up for success

Who you are:
  • You have relevant experience, with a degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics or another quantitative discipline
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
  • You know how to understand and tackle loosely defined problems and come up with relevant answers and actionable insights
  • You have deep understanding of numbers, as well as a strong business sense
  • You have the competence to perform advanced analytics
  • Experience performing analysis with large datasets
  • Coding skills (Python) Analytics tools experience (such as Pandas, SQL, BigQuery)
  • You possess statistical competence (such as regression modelling, a/b testing, significance testing etc)
