community.atlassian.com - I’m happy to announce that we are bringing team-managed fields into the Fields page.
Starting in early November, team-managed fields will be available on the main Fields page, allowing you to manage them alongside company-managed fields. We’re also introducing a new “Can be used in” filter for quick access to team-managed fields.
Centralizing all fields on one page simplifies auditing and standardization, streamlines field governance, reduces duplication, and enables admins to quickly spot inconsistencies or gaps.

community.atlassian.com - The Atlassian navigation team is continually working to make navigation simpler and more intuitive. Your insights have shaped our work so far, and we’d love to hear from you again.

What’s this study about?
We’ve been exploring new concepts to address one of the top navigational challenges we’ve heard from you: The ability to further customise the sidebar to improve focus, and reduce clutter.
In this study, we’ll share clickable prototypes that show early concepts (not final designs) and ask you to complete tasks. Your feedback will help us test usability and see how these ideas fit into your workflows.

community.atlassian.com - The new “Goal hierarchy” table offers a clear hierarchical view of your goals, making it easier to track progress and relationships between goals across your organization.
This table gives you the flexibility to report from either the top-down or the bottom-up of the goal hierarchy. In other words, you’re able to get the higher-level goals associated with a particular goal or all the children of a top-level goal.

community.atlassian.com - We’ve made a few updates to make it easier for your team & stakeholders to understand the context behind each view and collaborate more effectively.
🆕 What’s changed
Visible short description: You can now add a short description right next to your view title — perfect for highlighting what the view is about at a glance.
Unified “About” panel: The view description and comments now live together in one place, making it simpler to find and share context.
Easier access: You can open the “About” panel by clicking either the 💬 comments icon or the 🛈 view description next to the title.

community.atlassian.com - We’re excited to announce the launch of two highly requested features in Jira Service Management Change Calendar. These updates are designed to help IT and change management teams plan, communicate, and enforce change policies more effectively. Read on to learn more about the latest enhancements!
Many organizations have strict policies to prevent changes during designated Freeze or Maintenance windows. Until now, enforcing these policies in JSM required manual oversight. With our latest update, project admins can now enforce restrictions directly in JSM—at both the project and service/asset level.

community.atlassian.com - Restructuring work—especially when priorities change—is a common part of project management. Now it’s faster and more intuitive in the All work tab.
You can now reparent work items from the list view. Select (drag and drop) a task under a new parent from your list. No need to jump to another screen or lose track of what you’re doing.

Why the Change?
The new work item search is modern, faster, and easier-to-use. It’ll enhance performance and your Jira navigation experience. Key benefits are outlined in our previous community post and include:
Faster Performance: Quicker load times and less delay.
Better User Experience: A more intuitive interface.
New Features: Access to advanced tools for managing work items that the old navigator didn’t have.
