Is the Atlassian Strategy Collection really the answer for modern Project Portfolio Management (PPM)? In this video, I take a critical look at Align, Talent, and Focus—three key components designed to connect strategy with execution. While Atlassian promises better alignment, resource visibility, and prioritization, do these tools truly deliver for enterprise-level portfolio management?

Is the Strategy Collection even trying to target PPM capabilities, and if not, what is their target customer group? I have tried to find these answers, and in this video, I give you my findings.

This video is a follow-up to my previous video, which I made before Atlassian Team 25 in Barcelona, and the result is the outcome of my investigations since then.

https://jimiwikman.se/content/videos/my-videos/atlassian-videos-by-jimi-wikman/910_app-collections/atlassian_strategy-collection/atlassian-expert-jimi-wikman-is-confused-what-is-the-atlassian-strategy-collection-r32/?&do=getNewComment&d=49&id=32

Atlassian Expert Jimi Wikman is confused - what is the Atlassian Strategy Collection?

The Atlassian Strategy Collection was announced in 2025, and it is a collection that consists of the Atlassian product apps Align, Focus and Talent.

But what are those mysterious apps?!

Align has long been a standing joke in the Atlassian community because it was impossible to get your hands on to test and explore. Talent and Focus have been showcased very briefly, and it has been unclear what exactly they can do.

In this video, I go over my confusion and my observation so far of the Atlassian Strategy collection. This is a two part series where this video is about my understanding and confusion before Atlassian Team 25 in Barcelona. The second will be about how my understanding have changed from the event and what my thoughts are on the future of the collection itself.

#atlassian #strategycollection #team25 #align #focus #talent #atlassiancreator
