If you want to automate so you can send out emails when Assets date attributes are within a certain range, then this is the video for you.

In this video, I show you how to create a simple automation that can check a date attribute in Asset objects, and based on how many days there are to that date, an email will be sent out.

This is great for getting notified when it is time to renew licenses or certificates, for example.

In a previous video, I showed how you can set up two custom fields for Assets, so the selection of the first field will act as a filter in the second field. This way, we can, for example, select a country in the first field and then show the cities based on the country selection in the second field.

In this video, I show how you can expand on this so that if you select multiple options in the first field, you will also get a selection for both in the second field. It might seem like a simple change, but it is actually a bit tricky!

In this video, I will show you three automations that will allow you to: - Create new Assets from a Work Item when they are approved - Create a Work Item when a new Asset is created - Update Work item fields when the connected Asset have data updated

In addition to this, I also talk about the three options to capture create, update and delete events for assets in the Jira automation Object trigger.

In a recent article where Atlassian asks for users to participate in an Early Access Program to test a watered down version of Assets they admit to having issues with scaling and performance in the cloud version of Assets. In this rant I go over my thoughts on this article, the current status of Assets and the recent changes to pricing for Assets that will have you pay twice for using it. I am not impressed, or happy.

How do you present values in an Assets field based on what you have selected in another Assets field?
